Revenue Accountant - Oil & Gas, Direct Hire
The Revenue Accountant will have general revenue accounting duties and responsibilities including regulatory reporting functions such as state severance tax and federal royalty reporting (as required). Other duties include the responsibilities below.

Job Summary

Revenue entry into Enertia software, manual input and data uploads
Process and account for production and revenue generated from gas, oil and NGL’s
Analyze purchaser statements and prepare revenue spreadsheet allocation schedules and ensure proper accounting for taxes, deductions and allowable exemptions
Run the revenue distribution process to distribute payments and statements to owners
Prepare and file tax and royalty reports as required by state and federal agencies
Prepare accounting entries related to monthly processing and close activities
Prepare revenue accruals and analyze accrual to actuals
Perform account reconciliations for revenue, royalty and tax accounts
Respond to owner requests and prepare special reports and worksheets as required
Preparation of midstream accruals for Springfield Gathering System
Work with the Division Order Analyst to setup and maintain revenue division orders
Maintain files with supporting documentation of work performed
Assist with implementation of relevant internal controls
Provide support for special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in oil and gas revenue accounting including state severance tax and federal royalty reporting
Enertia accounting software experience preferred but not required
Microsoft Office proficiency required (Excel and Word)
Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
