General Manager – Civil E&C Company – Saudi Arabia
Our client is an industrial services and E & C company with ~5,000 employees in multiple business units supporting projects in energy, industrial, real estate and government civil E & C development projects in Saudi Arabia. We’re seeking a General Manager to grow the Civil E & C business unit with new customers, new projects, talented people, and improved business and operational processes.

The position is based in a beautiful Saudi city on the Persian Gulf coast. Compensation includes high end competitive annual salary in the $160,000 - $200,000 range (first $100,000 tax free), generous annual bonus potential, excellent health & welfare benefits plus travel, cost of living including schooling and miscellaneous expenses valued up $150,000, and 30 days vacation.

Scope Includes:
• In conjunction with corporate executive leadership will develop and implement strategies, long-range plans, annual operating plans and annual budgets while measuring progress on an ongoing basis.
• Communicate a vision and lead the company to achieve growth, performance excellent and profitability.
• Provide leadership and strategic direction for the development of the projects.
• Direct project management activities and teams.
• Take active part in Business Development activities to build new customer relationships.
• Plan and manage the operation’s team development and resource allocation
• Attract and develop talent pool and organization efficiency
• Promote a friendly climate, good morale and cooperation.
• Champion excellence and promote the corporate reputation.
• Ensure business processes, tools, and internal controls to support operations
• Responsible for capital investment planning and control
• Manage financials for performance against objectives.
• Ensure regular communication of business performance against objectives.
• Develop strong relationships and communication links with key stakeholders to include customers, employees, corporate leadership, and local community leaders.
• Ensure compliance with corporate initiatives and guidelines, including environmental, health and safety practices/policies.

Candidate profile:
• Business leader with strong operational, communications and commercial skills
• Prior work experience in Saudi Arabia NOT necessary, but helpful
• US Citizen required
• Engineering & Construction company or business unit P & L experience required
• Civil & Mechanical projects experience preferred
• B.S. Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or/Construction Management
• 12+ year’s experience
• 3+ year’s experience in a P & L role
