Safety & Health Superintendent - Midwest USA at International Mining Compay
Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, this position is open due to promotion of the previous S & H Superintendent. The position is located in the Midwest at mine site that employs ~150 workers.

Compensation includes salary in the high $80’s, superior company paid health and welfare benefits, 401K contributions to 7½% of salary, and education assistance. Company relocation assistance as required.

Scope includes:
• Safety, health and wellness including periodic MSHA and company programs
• Manage the hearing conservation program, annual audiograms, biennial employee physicals, ergonomic program, noise and respirable dust exposure surveys, first-aid programs, and fire prevention/preparation programs
• Accompany MSHA inspectors during onsite inspections.
• Investigate and prepare reports of accidents/injuries that occur on plant property, including employee personal injury, property damage, and near-miss incidents.
• Maintain required reporting schedule of Safety & Health data in SAM
• Prepare and submit all required MSHA documents
• Develop and maintain communications with local medical facilities/clinics regarding restricted duty work programs available to employees injured on the job
• Maintain current working knowledge of all applicable MSHA and company safety and health policies, procedures, and regulations
• Participate as a member of the site planning and guidance team
• Perform other duties as assigned or as judgment or necessity dictates.

Candidate profile:
• 7 or more years experience as a Safety and Health professional
• Mining industry experience
• MSHA and Safety Training experience
• College degree preferred but not required
