Sr. Natural Gas Trader (Need Strong NE Markets) at Fortune 500 Producer's Trading Group
The Sr. Natural Gas Trader will be responsible for building company's natural gas portfolio in the Eastern US. This role will concentrate on expanding company's presence in key trading hubs and delivered markets through a combination of proprietary trading strategies and support of existing asset positions in the region. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in portfolio management, asset optimization, and positive P&L contribution through proprietary trading strategies.

The Sr. Natural Gas Trader is predominately responsible for managing proprietary trading strategies in Eastern US gas markets. Additionally, this trader is expected to support origination activity, equity gas marketing, and feed gas operations to LNG facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
• Identify, value and execute natural gas trading strategies in assigned region and within approved limits
• Manage daily and prompt month physical natural gas positions on assigned pipelines
• Pursue short to medium term structured transactions that enhance company's natural gas portfolio. This will include Park & Loans, Transportation, and Storage.
• Assist long-term origination efforts with pricing and valuation support.
• Work with equity gas marketing team to improve asset optimization activity.
• Support feed-gas operations for LNG facility.
• Timely communication with other traders and scheduling personnel regarding market and pipeline information
• Work with traders in adjacent markets and regions to optimize assets that span large geographic areas
• Assist internal departments, such as Confirmations, Risk, IT and Accounting to ensure deals are managed according to their intent in a timely and accurate manner
• Support company's fundamental market research by monitoring market developments that may impact supply / demand in assigned region
• Adherence to all corporate Risk Management policies and procedures

• Minimum 10 years Natural Gas industry experience with at least 5 years gas trading experience preferred
• Marketing or Gas Operations (scheduling) experience a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2010, particularly Excel
• Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail
• Exceptional communication skills
• Proactive problem-solving
• Ability to work in a team environment

• Minimum undergraduate degree (Finance or Accounting preferred)

$175,000.00 - $180,000.00/year
