Data Analytics and Tools (Platform Development) - Geology, Geophysics and Engineering Data Required
Data Analytics and Tools/Platform Development:

Enhance organizational capabilities to use oil and gas data for analytics, including expertise in G&G and Engineering data analytics tools
Oversee usage of 3rd party data and applications, data-oriented products, and their licenses
Work with O&G development team and IT to build tools and procedures that enhance data analytics and visualizations
Work with extended team on machine learning efforts, and act as subject matter expert in development and execution phases on priority technical team projects
Support data migration between systems

High-Level Objectives:

Responsible for working with team to propose and implement data management policies, processes, and procedures for G&G and engineering technical data.
Contribute in establishing and implementing vision for G&G and engineering data use, and acquisition to support operational focus as set forth by management; coordinate and streamline technical data acquisitions efforts for the organization
Deliver solutions focused on improving awareness, availability, and quality of data in support of technical team goals
Administer controls on data in accordance with policy, active agreements, and in coordination with IT

External Products, Relationships, Other:

Liaise between IT and technical teams with respect to data projects, challenges, and opportunities
Provide guidance and input for technology product evaluations and purchases
Workflow support and general technical/IT support, as required

Requirements for this Position:

*Must have strong experience working for an oil and gas company performing a similar role in data analytics for G & G + Engineering as described above
*Prefer 8 - 10+ years experience
*Right individual must have a passion for the work, desire to take ownership of the function, and enjoy continuous learning to bring new tools and ideas to the job (take initiative!)
*Must have excellent communication skills and enjoy working across disciplines
*Prefer a college degree, but will substitute for right level of industry experience and proven ability

$120,000.00 - $130,000.00/year
