Process Safety & Reliability Manager – Lead SME
Large multi-billion revenue energy client is seeking Process Safety & Reliability Manager to be the Lead PSM subject matter expert for its corporate HSSE department. Compensation includes a highly competitive annual base salary depending on overall experience and qualifications, plus annual bonus, superior benefits, excellent 401k and beautiful suburban Houston campus. OVERVIEW
• Provide leadership, management, technical expertise, teamwork skills and accountability for the development, implementation, monitoring and performance analysis of the process safety management and risk management programs (PSM/RMP) across the company’s operations.
• Oversee development of corporate PSM and RMP standards, policies, procedures, guidelines and preferred practices; assure/confirm the quality of data generated associated with these programs;
• Oversee the analyses of data to identify trends and areas to improve risk reduction and reliability improvements using industry standard indicators (leading and lagging) in collaboration with management in HSSE, refinery operations and maintenance and appropriate SMEs across operations.
• Provide accurate and timely communications to senior management, and implement such programs to meet to drive improvements that support a strong safety and reliability culture.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a process engineering background
• 10 (ten) years of Process Safety experience in refining, petrochemical or chemical process industries
• Fully knowledgeable in all applicable process safety and risk management laws, regulations, consensus standards, recommended practices, applications and management systems.
• Thorough knowledge of application of risk analysis techniques such as QRA, LOPA, and HAZOP.
• Experienced in PSM/RMP compliance auditing and protocols.
• Excellent English communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
