Oil Originator - Marketing Group Within Large Producer
The Crude Oil Originator within the Marketing and Services Division of this Producer will be responsible for expanding company's customer network in the US crude industry and identifying, valuing, and bidding on term structured transactions in markets across the US. This will include transportation, storage commitments, and other term transactions such as financial arrangements for producers. Ultimate target is to expand the competitive domestic US crude purchase program to enhance company's US crude export activity. Key areas shall be Permian, Eagle Ford, Rockies, Scoop, Stack, Bakken - but not limited to strictly these areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
The Crude Oil Originator will be responsible for expanding the customer network and pursuing profitable term structured transactions that can enhance and expand Company's presence in the US Crude Oil market.
• Expand Company's customer network and deepen the relationship especially with US crude producers and midstream companies. (Key Areas: Permian, Eagle Ford, Rockies, SCOOP, Stack, Bakken but not limited to these)
• Identify, value and bid on mid/long-term structured transactions to enhance Company's crude oil portfolio. May include gathering/long haul pipeline, storage, doc space commitment evaluation and contract negotiation.
• Consider the best marketing strategy for Company's equity production.
• Work with traders, schedulers, and Company management team on deal identification & evaluation process.
• Work with origination personnel from Company's other trading desks such as gas, power, LNG and NGL’s, to identify and value opportunities that may cover a variety of commodities.
• Support Company's fundamentals & analytics group.
• Assist with monitoring midstream developments such as expansion projects, rate filings, or other items that may impact Company. Communicate any critical developments in a timely manner.
• Any other duties as directed by Manager.
• Adherence to all corporate Risk Management policies and procedures.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 10 years Oil industry experience with at least 5 years in Oil origination function
• Proven experience in contract negotiations for transportation, storage, and term structured transactions
• Ability to develop and supervise other originator(s)
• Understanding of deal valuation & structuring process
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2010, particularly Excel
• Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail
• Exceptional communication skills
• Proactive problem-solving
• Ability to work in a team environment

• Minimum undergraduate degree.
