Lead Metallurgical Engineer – Southwest USA location
This is an exciting opportunity for the Lead level Metallurgical Engineer experienced in the chemical, heavy manufacturing, or mining industry. We’re seeking a strong background in operations and a record of process improvements, facilities and equipment upgrades. Our client is a well-established mining company with state of the art equipment and processing facilities to deliver high-quality materials for a wide variety industrial and technology applications.

Scope emphasizes…
• Assembling and reporting production and performance data
• Develop, track, report, and improve KPIs
• Develop and log MB reports
• Prepare, review and enhance SOPs
• Monitor processes with SPC
• Some technical training and related oversight of operators
• Some capital project work
• Some start-up and commissioning
• Lead MOC activities

Qualifications include…
• BS in Metallurgy, Material Science or Physics
• 5+ year’s experience in the mining, heavy manufacturing or chemical industry
• Good experience and knowledge of mill flotation processes, ops and equipment
• Knowledge of DCS and PLC systems
• Knowledge/experience with DOE and SPC.
• Ability to work independently in a collaborative work environment.
• Excellent oral and written English communications skills.
• Authorization to work in the USA without sponsorship
