Power Settlements Analyst - Temp to Perm - Fortune 500 - $25-$30/hour
Outstanding career opportunity with the Middle Office of Fortune 500 energy's Trading group as Settlement Analyst (Power). Reports to the Settlements Supervisor and is responsible for reconciliation of Power ISO statements and bilateral trades. This contract assignment is a temp-to-perm opportunity.


Reconcile and compare daily ERCOT, PJM and MISO statements for day ahead, real time and CRR transactions against Allegro to ensure accuracy.
Identify invoice discrepancies and work to resolve such issues with ISO, bilateral counterparties and/or MEMS and WPL Trading/Scheduling group for financial and physical trades
Monitor cash payment or cash receipt in ERCOT prepayment account and reconcile account balance
Execute margin call settlement
Input payment information through online banking system
Perform daily bank reconciliation, daily cash forecast and AR aging report
Generate invoices in Allegro and close out cash receipts to ensure credit report is up to date
Create payment approval forms and obtain signature for wiring of payment
Resolve payment default issues and escalate appropriately
Provide support documentation for customer invoices
Provide back up to daily trade verification and trade confirmation
Provide assistance to Middle and Back Office as needed


Power ISO experience required.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field preferred or comparable experience.
Three (3) years minimum in a trading or related environment in a support position.
Knowledge and/or experience working in Middle/Back office for energy commodity company is preferred.
Accounting background is a plus.
Experience working with gas and/or crude settlements a plus .
Able to work independently or with little or no supervision.
Able to prioritize tasks and ensure daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines are met
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot tables, Macros a plus).
Proficiency or the ability to effectively demonstrate proficiency with appropriate training with third party software licensed to the Company such as Allegro and Oracle.
Possess refined interpersonal verbal and written communication skills, principally writing skills and telephone communication skills.
